Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Join to apply for the Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) role at Centria Autism.

Life Skills Autism Academy is seeking exceptional behavior technicians. Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or complete a 40-hour training and pass the RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment. RBTs support children on the Autism Spectrum by providing ABA therapy in a 1:1 setting under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This therapy aims to enhance developmental skills such as language, communication, social skills, and school readiness.

Pay Range: $17 - $23

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, utilizing intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow behavioral protocols outlined in the client’s treatment plan developed by BCBA/BC.
• Record and analyze data on client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training following treatment protocols.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Communicate progress with parents and caregivers as directed by BCBA/BC.
• Use safe procedures and report safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Assist in preparing client materials and assessments.

Qualifications:

• Willing to undergo background checks.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and insurance may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and TB testing if not current.
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs and moving quickly if needed.
• Reliable attendance and professionalism.
• Patience, emotional control, and a positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Proficiency with technology for data recording and application navigation.
• Effective communication skills.
• Cultural competency and flexibility.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred):

• Experience as a Behavioral Technician, working with children with autism or disabilities, Teacher’s Aid, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide.
