Job summary

Ascend Autism in Latham, NY is seeking a center-based Occupational Therapist to serve children ages 2–7. This full-time role focuses on early intervention, social development, and school readiness within a collaborative clinical environment.

Qualifications

• New York State Occupational Therapy License is required.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and leadership skills are essential.
• Fluent in English; other language fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy services with children ages 2–7.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on goals and needs.
• Help clients improve speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Maintain timely and accurate client records and reports.
• Collaborate with other healthcare and behavioral professionals to coordinate client care.
• Educate families on strategies for managing conditions and maximizing independence.
