Job summary

Family of Kidz in Baldwin, NY is seeking a Center-Based Behavior Technician to provide ABA therapy in our center. The role emphasizes collaboration with BCBAs, data collection, and implementing behavior plans.

The position requires obtaining an RBT credential within 90 days, and offers full-time benefits including PTO, holidays, health insurance, and 401(k). Prior ABA experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months ABA working with children or adolescents in a supervised setting.
• Enrollment or completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree in psychology, education, applied behavior analysis, or related field a plus.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Experience with working with challenging behaviors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Clinical Supervisors BCBAs to implement principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy.
• Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions.
• Acquire and maintain RBT credential in accordance with the BACB within the first 90 days of employment.
• Use electronic platform for data collection and graphing.
• Implement Behavior Support Plans and Behavior Intervention Plans as directed.
• Effectively manage learners including physical crisis intervention protocols, while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with State and Federal regulations.
