  • Assists in creating a nurturing, educational and recreational experience where children are encouraged to develop social skills, independence, and confidence.
  • Supervises, observes and assists with positive interactions between parent and child.
  • Assists in developing and communicating curriculum and schedules of events.
  • Assists students in learning and recreational programs: reinforces positive behavior, provides individual assistance, and encourages socialization and good language communications.
  • Coordinates the work of Assistant Teachers, Aides and volunteers.
    Performs clerical duties, maintains and organizes files, keeps records and assists with reports.
  • Provides customer service to parents and guardians: assists with parenting skills and developmental issues, answers questions, and explains school rules.
  • Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with students, clients, visitors, and staff: acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
  • Enthusiastically promotes the District’s goals and priorities in compliance with all policies and procedures. Maintains absolute confidentiality of work related issues, records and information.
