Job summary

CVR Energy, Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to calibrate, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair gas analyzers and CEMS equipment. You will document results for EPA compliance and QC, and work independently on moderately complex assignments.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 3+ years in instrumentation, familiarity with P&IDs, and experience with test equipment; knowledge of refinery instrumentation is a plus.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Prefer Journeyman Electrical or Journeyman Instrument Technician; or related field.
Proficient with Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Provide electrical and instrumentation support to maintain equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain logs, documentation, and preventive maintenance records.
Calibrate, troubleshoot, test, and repair CEMS and instrumentation per EPA requirements.
Read P&ID’s, perform calibration techniques, and work with test equipment to locate faults.
Troubleshoot instrumentation, system problems, and perform repairs as needed.
Communicate progress and issues to supervisor; document results and QA/QC data.
