Job summary

Teledyne Monitor Labs is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) at client sites in the Houston area. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

You will perform startup, commissioning, preventive maintenance, QA testing, and documentation. Training is provided at our Denver office; heavy travel and a 50-hour week in year one are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of field experience in troubleshooting, repairing analytical equipment.
• Willingness to travel overnight as required to support customer and project needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite installation, commissioning, diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance of CEMS and related instrumentation.
• Work safely in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
• Climb ladders and work from elevated platforms at heights from 20 to 200 feet following safety requirements.
• Independently manage tasks while maintaining Teledyne's standards.
• Provide technical support to customers via telephone and other remote methods.
• Document service activities and findings in work orders.
• Adhere to safety policies and regulatory standards.
