Job summary

aep in the United States is seeking an Associate CEMS Engineer to develop hands-on experience supporting Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems across the Gas and Coal fleet. You will gain exposure to instrumentation, controls, analyzers, sample systems, DAHS platforms, alarming, and field troubleshooting while helping improve system reliability and data integrity.

Qualifications

Entry-level knowledge of CEMS concepts and ability to follow guidance from more senior engineers.
Ability to work with higher-level engineers and document work clearly.

Responsibilities

Assist with maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CEMS gas analyzers and related systems.
Provide remote and on-site support for configuration and diagnostic activities of CEMS instrumentation and DAHS systems.
Support DAHS operations, data validation, and QA/QC activities.
Participate in RATA support, cylinder gas audits, and linearity tests.
Review data for accuracy, identify issues, and help resolve data gaps before handoff to Environmental Services.
Collaborate with I&C project teams to evaluate and implement CEMS/DAHS requirements.
Assist Environmental Services and plant operations on technical CEMS/DAHS topics.
Interpret and follow applicable regulations, codes, and standards for CEMS/DAHS systems.
