Job summary

sci in Carolina, PR area is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Technician to participate in burial service preparation and memorial installations. Responsibilities include openings/closings for burials, installing foundations and markers, and performing routine grounds care.

You will operate a range of equipment, follow safety rules, and complete client work orders. The role requires a high school diploma and at least six months of equipment experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six months of experience operating standard equipment.
• Valid driving record and licenses to operate equipment/vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Openings and closings for burials, entombments, and inurnments.
• Set, install, and assemble foundations, memorials, and markers.
• Install outer burial containers.
• Process service requests from client families for grave and marker maintenance.
• Complete interment verification procedures.
• Prepare 25-foot radius around burials and keep area clean.
• Fill grave, tamp, seed or sod.
• Maintain safety and universal precautions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
• Complete Dignity University courses and other assigned training.
