Job summary

Service Corporation International in Wilson, NC is seeking a Cemetery Maintenance Associate to perform openings/closings for burials and to install foundations, memorials, and markers. You will operate a range of equipment and complete client work orders for grave and marker maintenance.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least six months of equipment experience, with a valid driving record and appropriate licenses.

Qualifications

High School degree or equivalent.
Minimum six months experience operating standard equipment.
Licenses: acceptable driving record and licenses to operate equipment/vehicles.

Responsibilities

Performs openings & closings for burials, entombments and inurnments.
Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers.
Installs outer burial containers.
Handles and completes work orders from client families for grave/marker maintenance.
Responds to and completes service/work orders.
Conducts Interment Verification Procedures.
25 foot radius preparation for burials; keeps area clean and neat.
Fills grave, tamps, seeds or sods.
Adheres to safety rules and Universal Precautions.
Performs preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities.
Maintains clean and orderly work area.
Completes Dignity University courses and other training as assigned.
Adheres to Dignity Memorial Promise standards.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
