Job summary

Sci Corp is seeking an experienced Cemetery Maintenance leader to oversee operations across multiple cemeteries in the Brentwood, MD area. You will set work, quality, and safety expectations, manage grounds keeping, and coordinate with related facilities to ensure a consistently manicured property.

The role requires eight or more years in cemetery maintenance with supervisory experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and experience with new construction/capital projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Eight or more years of cemetery maintenance experience with increasing responsibilities.
• At least two years of supervising and managing staff.
• Environmental regulatory compliance experience.
• New construction / capital expenditure development experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of multiple cemeteries and communicate work, quality, and safety expectations to exceed customer satisfaction.
• Manage grounds keeping, landscaping, and seasonal plantings to maintain a manicured appearance; coordinate with funeral homes, crematories, and mausoleums while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Source, procure, store, and maintain inventory of tools and materials; review invoices and maintain equipment in good order.
• Develop annual operating and personnel budgets and plan for equipment replacement; collaborate with the home office on capital expenditure projects.
