Job summary

City of Haines City is hiring for a Cemetery Maintenance Supervisor to oversee burial services in City cemeteries. You will meet with customers for plot selection, mark and label boundaries, and coordinate with funeral homes and vault companies.

The role includes supervising Grounds Maintenance Cemetery workers, coordinating daily schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining accurate burial records. Weekend and night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in grounds maintenance.
• Must have valid Florida Driver license (Class E).
• Must obtain Class B CDL within six months of hire.
• Willingness to work weekends and night hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and coordinate burial services in City cemeteries.
• Meet with customers for plot selection and space verification.
• Prepare and label boundaries for funerals and monuments; map burial plots.
• Supervise cemetery staff; schedule daily/weekly tasks; ensure safety and compliance.
