Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months relevant experience.
• Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment (shovel, rake, mower, etc.).
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with associates, contractors and client families.
• Basic computer skills for email communications.

Responsibilities

• Mows grass, plows snow, waters lawns, fertilizes and trims shrubs.
• Operates lawn and grounds equipment including mowers, snow blowers, weed eaters and leaf blowers.
• Removes debris and trash from grounds.
• Participates on teams for openings and closings for interments and inurnments.
• May perform disinterment.
• May determine grave locations and layout with assistance.
• May perform minor repairs to cemetery or building systems.
• May perform duties related to cremations such as inventory and compliance.
• Follow safety rules and OSHA regulations.
• May assist in moving and installing burial vaults.
