Service Corporation International in Colton, CA is seeking a reliable Cemetery Groundskeeper to maintain outdoor grounds and assist with interments.

Responsibilities include mowing, trimming shrubs, operating mowers and yard equipment, assisting with grave locations, following safety rules, and supporting openings and closings as needed. The role requires a high school diploma and at least 6 months of relevant labor experience; funeral industry experience is preferred.

Formación

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification/License Experience: Minimum 6 months relevant experience in landscaping, general construction, warehouse, physical labor demonstrating steady employment.
• Funeral industry experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Mows grass
• Plows snow
• Waters lawns
• Fertilizes and trims shrubs
• Tends flower beds and inspects assigned work areas for proper standards
• Operates lawn and grounds equipment including mowers, snow blowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers
• Removes debris and trash from grounds
• Assists in determining grave locations with assistance, following verification procedures
• Performs minor repairs to cemetery, buildings, or equipment
• May assist in cremations maintaining inventory and complying with cremation regulations under supervision
• Assists in moving and installing burial vaults
• Follows safety rules and regulatory guidelines (OSHA)
