Job summary

Service Corporation International in Rockledge, FL seeks a Cemetery Maintenance associate to uphold grounds, assist with interments, and maintain cemetery facilities. The role requires basic tools operation, physical stamina, and ability to work in varying weather. High school or equivalent and at least 6 months of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent or relevant work experience.
• Minimum 6 months of relevant experience.
• Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment such as shovel, rake, and lawn mower.

Responsibilities

• Cuts grass, maintains lawn, trims around trees and memorial markers.
• Clears debris and maintains drives and walkways, snow removal as needed.
• Erects tents and arranges chairs for graveside ceremonies.
• Assists with setup for openings and closings for interments, entombments, and inurnments.
• Arranges chapel for services and prepares crypts for entombments.
• Under supervision, may operate backhoe to dig graves without damage.
• Installs grave markers and memorials; maintains cemetery features.
• Maintains, services, cleans and stores equipment; performs minor repairs and painting.
• Observe safety rules and comply with OSHA and local regulations.
