Job summary

Everstory Partners in Rossville, Tennessee, is seeking a Cemetery Groundskeeper to maintain landscaping and property safety for visitors and staff. You will perform mowing, weed-whacking, and general maintenance while ensuring equipment is kept in good condition and operations run smoothly.

The role supports funeral services, handles machinery safely, and may involve installing vaults or headstones. Weekend or holiday availability may be required; a valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency required.
• 2+ years experience in maintenance or related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from supervisor and/or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance: weed-whacking, lawn mowing, etc.
• Maintain equipment.
• All functions related to funeral services.
• Operate machinery safely.
• Install cemetery vaults or assist in installation.
• Install headstones or memorials as needed.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Snow removal (if applicable).
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
