Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking a Cemetery Grounds Maintenance worker to maintain cemetery grounds with heavy equipment such as skid loaders and excavators. The role requires a strong safety mindset, the ability to lift 75 lbs frequently, and proficient operation of heavy machinery.

You will perform mowing, trimming, planting, and site preparation, while ensuring safety and quality. The position supports burial operations and visitor services in an outdoor environment under federal contractor requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating heavy equipment (skid loaders, excavators).
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
• Strong attention to safety and quality.
• Professional and courteous to visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds maintenance using heavy equipment (skid loaders, excavators).
• Maintain cemetery buildings, roads, and equipment with safety in mind.
• Assist in burial process: prepare gravesites, setup tents/chairs, operate heavy equipment as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards and lift up to 75 lbs frequently.
• Provide courteous visitor assistance and respond to safety concerns.
• Report maintenance issues and equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
