Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the cemetery grounds, operate equipment, and support funeral services with a focus on safety and exemplary service.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency required.
• 2+ years experience in maintenance or related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from supervisor and/or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• This position requires availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance such as weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
• Maintain equipment.
• Perform functions related to funeral services.
• Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Install cemetery vaults and headstones as needed.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Perform snow removal if applicable.
• Handle additional duties as assigned by Grounds Superintendent.
