SCI in Dolton, IL is seeking a Cemetery Grounds Maintenance Associate to keep burial sites, chapels, and surrounding areas well maintained. You will perform grass cutting, debris removal, equipment operation, and setup for services, under supervision, ensuring safety and respectful handling of memorials.

The role requires high school or equivalent, 6 months’ experience, and the ability to lift up to 150 lbs with assistance.

Qualificações

• High school education or equivalent or relevant work experience.
• Minimum 6 months of relevant experience.
• Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment, including shovel, rake, mower, weed trimmer and leaf blower.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods; able to lift up to 150 lbs with assistance; push/pull up to 300 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Cuts grass, maintains lawn, trims around trees, walkways and memorial markers; lays sod; moves flowers for chapel and graveside.
• Clears debris; maintains drives/walkways; snow removal as needed by location.
• Erects tents/canopies; arranges chairs for graveside ceremonies; assists with openings/closings for interments.
• Arranges chapel for services; prepares crypts for entombments; may operate backhoe under supervision.
• Installs grave markers and memorials; maintains/repairs cemetery features; service and store equipment.
• Observe safety rules; ensure compliance with corporate, OSHA, and local regulations.
