Job summary

Everstory Partners in Michigan is seeking a Cemetery Groundskeeper who will care for the grounds, maintain landscapes, operate equipment, and support funeral services with safety at the forefront. You will work with the Grounds Superintendent to ensure pristine grounds and reliable maintenance.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 80 lbs, a valid driver's license, and availability for holidays, evenings, and weekends. A strong customer-service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency is required.
• 2+ years of maintenance or related field experience.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from supervisor/management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Care, maintenance, and repairs of cemetery property.
• Ensure safety and security of employees and visitors.
• Perform landscape maintenance (weed-whacking, lawn mowing, etc.).
• Maintain equipment and machinery.
• Support funeral services functions.
• Operate machinery safely.
• Install cemetery vaults or headstones as needed.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Perform snow removal if applicable.
• Execute other duties as assigned by Grounds Superintendent.
