Job summary

CATHOLIC CEMETERIES is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper in San Antonio, TX to maintain the cemetery grounds and support funeral services. Responsibilities include setup/teardown, basic heavy equipment use, and general landscape care to ensure a respectful, well-maintained property.

Qualifications

• Familiar with maintenance tools and equipment.
• General labor or grounds keeping experience preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as a backhoe is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Setup and tear down for services and events, including outdoor tents and equipment.
• Assist office staff with locating gravesites and graves issues.
• Operate tools and equipment according to safety procedures.
• Perform mowing, weed eating, pruning, watering and other grounds maintenance.
• Prepare for services with loading/unloading trailers, chairs, tents and related items.
• Follow safety training and protect confidentiality.
