Job summary

Security National Financial Corporation in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a Grounds Maintenance team member to care for cemetery grounds, perform landscape upkeep, and assist in burials as needed. You will operate mowers, trimmers, edgers and other equipment to keep grounds attractive and safe.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of related experience, a valid NM driver's license, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• One year of experience related field preferred.
• Valid New Mexico driver''s license.
• Knowledge maintenance equipment such as mowers, aerators, trimmers, etc.
• Know sprinkler systems design and installation.
• Safety precautions associated with equipment operations.
• Interpersonal communication skills ability to communicate both verbally and writing.
• Ability develop effective working relationships with supervisor subordinates and public

Responsibilities

• Meet performance standards established with the employee's manager.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs to Cemetery Grounds.
• Operate powered equipment such as mowers, trimmers, edgers, sod cutters, chain saw etc.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, clippers, saws etc.
• May install and maintain sprinkler systems, perform landscape construction and maintenance, including mowing, aerating, pruning, landscape and planting trees, shrubs, sod flowers, and lawn seed.
• May assist in burials at grave sites.
• Remove snow from walks, driveways and park lots when applicable
• Spread salt as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned
