Job summary

A cemetery service provider in Palo Alto is seeking a Cemetery Counselor Clerk to assist families with arranging cemetery services. Responsibilities include completing necessary documentation, setting up services, and ensuring a smooth process for families. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in the cemetery industry, possesses excellent communication skills, and can work a flexible schedule. Qualifications

• 1 year experience in the cemetery industry.
• Valid driver's license.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Able to qualify for Cemetery Salesperson License in California.
• Occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm with some Saturdays/Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Meet with families to arrange cemetery services.
• Complete documents and permits in a timely manner.
• Assist with onsite services including floral arrangements and guest flow.
• Assist and set up services on site: placement of floral arrangements, manage guest flow, coordinate with clergy/funeral home/families, lead processions.
• Assist families in selecting property for loved ones.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

CEMETERY COUNSELOR CLERK

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

-Meet with families to arrange cemetery services: Gravesides and Memorial Services.

-Complete all documents and/or permits in a timely manner and in accordance with the law.

-Assist and set up services on site: Includes assisting with placement & display of floral arrangements, managing guest flow, coordinating order of service with clergy/funeral home/families, leading processions to location at our cemetery.

-Assist with at need families in selecting property for loved ones.

-Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 year experience in the cemetery industry.

• Valid drivers license.

• A professional attitude and appearance.

-Excellent communication skills.

-Must be a team player.

-Possession of basic computer skills: Word, Excell, etc.

-Be able to qualify for a Cemetery Salesperson License with the state of California.

-Occasional heavy lifting of 50lbs will be required.

-Must be able to work a Monday - Friday, 8am - 430pm schedule and once a month Saturdays from 8am to 4pm and occasional Sundays, 8am - 4pm.
