Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a Terminal Operator to safely unload cement from rail cars and move railcars using a track mobile. You will perform basic maintenance and operate machinery while maintaining the terminal and grounds.

The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work shifts over 12 hours, and adherence to safety standards. Training will be provided, and there are opportunities across North America.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
• Willingness to learn; training will be provided.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in effective written English, verbal communication, and listening skills.
• Knowledge of hazards and safety regulations relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Unload cement from rail cars and move railcars to optimize unloading efficiency.
• Operate track mobile/shuttle wagon, skid steer, and other terminal equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks and basic lubrication.
• Maintain terminal grounds and perform housekeeping.
• Cross-train to load and ticket trucks and provide cover for leads as needed.
• Adhere to all plant safety guidelines and procedures.
