Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Terminal Operator to operate and monitor bulk cement terminal equipment, including railcar unloading systems and material transfer equipment. You will troubleshoot, perform hands-on maintenance, load and unload cement, and ensure accurate orders and inventory records.

The role is based in an outdoor/industrial terminal environment, requiring independent work, safety-conscious habits, and reliability in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools for troubleshooting and basic repairs.
• Experience in industrial, mechanical environments (not just warehouse).
• Ability to operate or work around heavy equipment and bulk material systems.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of equipment and daily operations.
• Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor bulk cement terminal equipment, including railcar unloading systems and material transfer equipment.
• Troubleshoot and perform hands-on maintenance to keep equipment running and minimize downtime.
• Load and unload cement from railcars and trucks while ensuring efficient and safe material flow.
• Inspect equipment, identify issues, and complete basic mechanical repairs using tools and diagnostic skills.
• Ensure accuracy of orders, documentation, and inventory records.
