Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a Utility Laborer to support plant operations in Midlothian, TX. Under supervision, you will perform general clean-up and material handling, and operate mobile equipment in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Willingness to learn; training provided.
• Ability to read, understand safety labels and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Perform general clean-up duties with listed tools and equipment.
• Assist in removing and installing refractory lining in kiln and related equipment.
• Clean plant and equipment including dust collectors, conveyors and chutes.
• Clean roofs, remove snow, maintain drains and basins.
• Assist in screening grinding balls and recharging mill load.
• Janitorial and grounds keeping tasks; change filters, mowing, watering, trimming.
• Vacation relief and fill other positions as needed.
• Operate forklifts, dump trucks, Bobcat, loader, haul truck, sweeper, backhoe and manlift.
• Follow safety rules and keep work areas clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
