Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent education/experience.
• MSHA certification or ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in operations or a related industrial role.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Cement process experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and decision‑making abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage priorities.
• Effective teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and physically perform essential job functions.
• Ability to pass a physical exam, including back x-ray, vision test, hearing test, functional capability evaluation, respiratory fit test, and drug/alcohol screen.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and ensure work complies with company, OSHA, and MSHA standards
• Ensure team members have the skills to perform their roles safely and effectively
• Participate in safety committees, training programs, and risk assessments
• Oversee compliance with environmental regulations across plant operations
• Collaborate with Quality Control and other departments to troubleshoot and maintain product quality
• Monitor and manage plant equipment and oversee production performance
• Ensure equipment startup and shutdown procedures are followed
• Assign work schedules and authorize overtime
• Ensure adequate staffing
• Initiate and follow up on maintenance work orders
• Ensure equipment operates reliably and efficiently
• Complete daily production reports and track issues
• Report unsafe areas or practices
• Manage cement shipments and communicate quarry operations to relevant teams
