Job summary

Titan Florida, LLC is currently seeking a Shift Mechanic for the Pennsuco Cement Division in Medley, FL. This high-skilled, non-exempt role involves repairing and maintaining mineral processing equipment and performing preventative maintenance to ensure continuous plant operation.

Responsibilities include safety checks, engine and conveyor maintenance, parts inspection, and coordination with supervision. Experience with hydraulics, machining, and welding is desirable; forklift and crane

Qualifications

• Must be safety-minded and able to read and follow written and oral instructions.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Ability to weld pipes and steel and interpret technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks and follow safety rules and regulations.
• Provide mechanical maintenance: repairs, lubrication, welding, alignment and related tasks.
• Repair and maintain engines, motors, conveyors, pumps and production machines.
• Inspect used parts and assess dimensional changes.
• Remove/install pulleys, bearings, conveyors, drive belts and more as needed.
• Maintain shop equipment and order parts.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on mineral processing equipment.
• Operate basic shop tools and light mobile equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mineral processing plant equipment.
• Maintain clean work area and keep records of work performed.
• Communicate clearly via two-way radio and participate in safety committees.
• Be available for kiln outage work and other utility tasks.
