Ash Grove Cement Company in Branford, CT is seeking a Safety-minded Plant Laborer to perform cleaning and labor support across the production area under supervision. You may operate hand and power tools and mobile equipment, and assist with housekeeping and waste removal to keep the plant running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of related experience or training, are able to read and understand warning labels, and can work outdoors in all weather, including extreme heat or cold.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand warning labels and signs.
• At least 1 year of related experience or training.

Responsabilités

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Clean the plant and surroundings, handle waste and debris using manual tools and equipment.
• Operate mobile equipment such as loader, bobcat, forklift, manlift and dump truck.
• Assist with general plant cleaning and support other departments as directed.
