Job summary

Zenith Tech Inc. a Walbec Group Company in Southeast Wisconsin is seeking a self-motivated Cement Mason / Concrete Finisher to join our highway, road, and bridge projects.

You will work under a foreman to place and finish concrete, form setup, and ensure a smooth, durable finish. This role requires a valid driver's license, willingness to travel to multiple job sites across Southeast WI including Madison, and the ability to work varied hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory record.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior construction experience preferred.
• Member of a local Cement Masons Union or willing to join; union membership not required before employment.
• Punctual, dependable, and able to work varied hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends.
• Capable of working in variable weather, dusty environments, and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the placement of concrete and perform final finishing of concrete surfaces.
• Prepare and set wooden or plastic forms, level surfaces, and smooth concrete to ensure a level, durable finish.
• Use vibrators, grade sheets, and special tools to remove air pockets and ensure proper curing.
• Operate crane hand signals and related equipment safely.
• Carry out additional related duties as assigned.
• Travel to various job sites throughout Southeast WI to Madison, WI and surrounding areas, using reliable transportation.
• Smooth out concrete, level surfaces, and fill gaps to achieve a flat finish.
• Fill roadways, driveways, sidewalks, bridges, and parking lots.
• Arrange concrete forms and prepare surfaces.
• Use machines to vibrate concrete and remove air pockets.
• Finish corners by hand.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Lifts and carries up to 75 lbs unassisted.
• Shoots grades.
