Job summary

ProPetro Services, Inc is seeking a DOT Cement Equipment Operator to operate and maintain cement job equipment, perform inspections, and maintain daily documentation. This role requires adherence to DOT regulations and safety protocols in a dynamic field environment.

Responsibilities include rig up/rig down operations, on-site housekeeping, and strong communication with team members. A valid Class A CDL and related safety qualifications are essential, with Hazmat endorsement preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
  • Familiar with Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations.
  • Hazmat endorsement is preferred but not required.
  • Able to pass DOT pre-employment drug test and physical.
  • Able to pass a road test and operate both manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Able to lift 25–50 lbs and work long shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain cement equipment (cement bulk equipment, field bins, and semi-trailers).
  • Comply with DOT regulations and maintain accurate driver logs.
  • Perform vehicle and equipment inspections and check fluid levels, brakes, lights, and tires.
  • Maintain daily equipment documentation and report defects.
  • Rig up and rig down operations.
  • Assist with housekeeping on location.
  • Conduct Job Safety Analysis in line with HSE policies.
  • Adhere to required HSE training, safety meetings, and PPE usage.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The DOT Cement Equipment Operator operates and maintains equipment used in the cement job, performs vehicle or equipment inspections, maintains proper daily documentation of equipment, and performs rig up and rig down operations.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain equipment used in the cement job (i.e., cement bulk equipment, field bins, and semi-trailers)
  • Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations (keep accurate driver's log, submit driver's log daily, accurately report mileage and fuel, and obey hours of service policies)
  • Perform vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure proper fluid levels, functioning brakes, working lights, and safe tire condition
  • Maintain proper daily documentation of equipment and report any defective equipment to proper personnel
  • Perform rig up and rig down operations
  • Assist with the housekeeping on location before, and during, and after the job
  • Conduct proper Job Safety Analysis (JSA) in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and organization policy
  • Maintain compliance with all HSE policies by attending required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
  • Class A CDL Required
  • Maintain a valid CDL and clean driving record required

  • Able to drive commercial trucks and other vehicles with a manual transmission
  • Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations required
  • Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and physical examination required
  • Able to pass a road test required
  • Able to operate both manual and automatic transmissions required
  • Able to perform pre- and post-trip CMV inspection required
  • Must be familiar with electronic logging devices
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well with others, and work independently when required
  • Demonstrate clear communication skills and the ability to interact with employees in the field and at all levels of the organization
  • Able promptly follow verbal and written directions in English
  • Must be able to work closely with others and under time-sensitive deadlines including potential emergency response situations
  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
  • Able to safely operate and maintain assigned equipment during a 12+ hour work shift that will include days or nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to perform duties safely in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
  • Able to lift 25 lbs. over your head and up to 50 lbs. safely
  • Can sit and stand on your feet for extended time
