Job summary

AstraZeneca GmbH is seeking an Associate Director, Cell Therapy Supply Chain Operations Transformation & Performance Lead to drive end-to-end transformation, governance, and performance across the cell therapy supply chain. You will partner with senior leaders to simplify and scale processes while enabling rapid growth and advanced analytics.

The role emphasizes Lean principles, digitization, and scalable operating models to support AstraZeneca’s ambitious cell therapy program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field; 8+ years with Bachelor's or 6+ with Master's or MBA.
• Experience in biopharmaceutical, biotech, advanced therapy, or highly regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and performance management.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required.
• Proven experience leading transformation initiatives.
• Experience establishing governance structures and KPIs.
• Ability to translate complex challenges into scalable solutions.
• Strong facilitation and change leadership skills.
• Data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic transformation initiatives to enable cell therapy ambitions and improve scalability, transparency, agility, and execution.
• Establish and maintain end-to-end supply chain process framework, governance, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with leaders to design future-state, scalable operating models.
• Drive operational excellence through Lean, problem-solving, standardization, and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops to assess current-state processes and develop roadmaps.
• Develop and enhance global supply chain performance management framework and KPIs.
• Establish metrics and reporting to improve visibility and decision-making.
• Support governance forums to strengthen alignment and prioritization.
• Partner with Digital and Supply Chain teams to implement automation and AI-enabled solutions.
• Leverage data to identify trends and measure transformation outcomes.
• Build partnerships across Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality, Digital.
• Lead change management and stakeholder engagement for adoption of new processes and tools.
• Communicate transformation roadmaps, progress, and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and scale capabilities as the business evolves.
