Job summary

AstraZeneca in the United States is seeking a senior leader within the Cell Therapy Unit (CTU) to organize leadership meetings, shape strategy, and drive cross-functional collaboration across Oncology R&D. The role collaborates with HR, Communications, Finance and AI/IT teams to ensure the department runs efficiently and strategically.

The position offers in-office and flexible work arrangements, with a strong focus on a world-class cell therapy program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years pharmaceutical experience.
• Shaping, developing & efficiently implementing plans.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Experience leading through influence in a matrix organization.
• Experience in strategic planning processes and tools.

Responsibilities

• Organize and drive Leadership Team Meetings (virtual and face-to-face).
• Partner with Communications to plan CT events (Townhalls, site visits, speaking engagements).
• Own annual scorecard development and function priorities; oversee updates.
• Collaborate on long-term strategy and vision with CT Leadership.
• Ensure efficient department operation with HR and Communications.
• Partner with Finance on financial planning and mid/long-term cycles.
• Support and drive AI and IT Strategy in collaboration with leadership.
• Build cross-functional relationships across the organization.
• Oversee performance/progress across functions aligned to Cell Therapy.
