Job summary

AstraZeneca seeks a Director, Operational Excellence to lead the network-wide OE agenda for autologous Cell Therapy. You will set strategy, govern the improvement portfolio, and drive cost, productivity, service, quality, safety, and compliance improvements across the vein-to-vein value stream.

You will align senior leaders, lead Kaizen, and partner with Supply Chain and Quality to sustain safe, right-first-time performance and continuous capability building across sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in GMP manufacturing.
• 5+ years leading programs.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent OE expertise.
• COGM/productivity improvements using lean, digital, and analytics.
• Experience with MES/EBR/LIMS and other digital systems.
• Cross-site program leadership and portfolio governance with Finance.
• Demonstrated influence, change leadership, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end OE portfolio governance across sites.
• Map value streams and deploy strategy deployment to meet targets.
• Lead Kaizen events and scale best practices.
• Coach leaders and value stream owners.
• Partner with Supply Chain for vein-to-vein flow and cold-chain.
• Ensure safety, patient focus, and cGMP compliance.
• Communicate impact to senior leadership via governance forums.
