Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd. in Houston, TX, is seeking a Core Technician – Cell Therapy to join a GMP manufacturing team.

This on-site role involves aseptic processing, operating production equipment, and maintaining rigorous GMP documentation to support clinical and commercial cell therapy products. The candidate will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to ensure products meet procedures and schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in a scientific or technical discipline preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience with cell therapy technologies or related biopharma manufacturing in a cGMP environment.
• Ability to read, understand and follow SOPs, manufacturing instructions and production schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP and LIMS desirable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in aseptic processing and manufacture of cell therapy products.
• Perform aseptic cell culture manipulations in cleanroom environments.
• Operate production equipment per approved SOPs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate as needed.
• Follow contamination control and GMP documentation practices.
• Review batch records and related GMP docs as required.
• Adhere to safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, QC and other site functions.
