Job summary

Lonza Environmental Monitoring Core Technician I – Cell Therapy in Pearland, TX is an on-site role supporting GMP manufacturing and aseptic processing through environmental monitoring of cleanrooms for clinical and commercial cell therapy products.

You will assist with monitoring data review, equipment readiness, and collaboration with Manufacturing, QA, and QC to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years in a cGMP manufacturing or cell therapy environment.
• High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
• Environmental Monitoring experience preferred.
• Experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Understanding of cGMP principles and regulated environments.
• Ability to perform aseptic manipulations and gowning.

Responsibilities

• Perform Environmental Monitoring activities in GMP production and operator qualification.
• Coordinate monitoring equipment needs with Quality Control Environmental Monitoring.
• Draft and review monitoring documentation and data records.
• Prepare monitoring materials and operate steam autoclaves.
• Operate equipment supporting clinical and commercial cell therapy manufacturing.
• Use Solair systems, ApexZ50 units, and particle counters.
• Support investigations related to environmental monitoring excursions.
• Maintain inventory of monitoring supplies.
• Assist with cleanroom readiness and aseptic operations.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, and QC to ensure cGMP compliance.
