Job summary

MANN+HUMMEL Fayetteville, AR is seeking a 2nd shift maintenance technician to support production on multiple lines. You will operate and set up major equipment, perform PMs, and read blueprints, collaborating with the team to sustain output and quality.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 2–4 years of machine setup/maintenance experience, plus basic MS Office skills; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; tech school a plus.
• 2–4 years of machine set-up and processing experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer use.
• Complete New Employee Orientation and Quality Systems Overview training.

Responsibilities

• Operate major equipment on multiple lines or cells.
• Complete changeovers of equipment.
• Perform general maintenance incl. lubrication, cleaning and repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints; identify mechanical issues.
• Educate and train others on changeover methods and TPM.
• Maintain production levels and schedule PMs.
• Organize and replace parts; assess rebuilds when needed.

Main Tasks

2nd Shift Position

Responsibilities:

• Proficiently operate major equipment on multiple lines or cell.
• Complete changeover of equipment.
• Service equipment involving general maintenance practices of lubrication, cleaning, repair or adjustments and identification of abnormal repair for central maintenance correction.
• Educate other employees on equipment within the line, section or cell after being certified to do so through central maintenance training.
• Maintain production levels of assigned equipment within the line, section, or cell resulting in satisfactory production and scrap levels set by management.
• Organize and complete scheduled PMs.
• General part replacement.
• General rebuild capability.
• Essential use of shop equipment.
• Instruct and train changeover methods and Total Productive Maintenance
• Make parts from blueprints
• Modify and improve equipment independently
• Diagnose and recommend rebuilds
• Read and interpret blueprints.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferably with vocational education training in skilled trades or other related discipline;
• 2-4 years of experience machine set-up and processing;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and general computer use
• Must complete New Employee Orientation and Quality Systems Overview training in addition to any training identified by department management.
• Preferred completion of a 2 year Tech School Training in Industrial Maintenance or 3 to 5 years of experience
