Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a Cell Processing Medical Technologist to perform processing, cryopreservation, and documentation of cellular therapy products for hematopoietic support in patients undergoing high-dose chemotherapy.

The CPL Technologist will support infusion-related patient care, operate lab equipment, and accurately interpret results while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical lab science or medical technology.
• 1 year of experience in a cell processing laboratory or a general laboratory setting.
• Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (ASCP or AMT) certification, preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and computer skills.

• Provide patient care or support related to infusion of cellular therapy products.
• Independently operate laboratory equipment and verify cellular therapy product results.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Cell Processing Laboratory (CPL) Technologist is responsible for performing and documenting all tasks and duties associated with the processing/preparation and cryopreservation of cellular therapy products used to provide hematopoietic support to patients undergoing high dose chemotherapy. S/he provides appropriate patient care or support related to the infusion of cellular therapy products. The CPL Technologist demonstrates an ability to independently, operate laboratory equipment, make subtle discriminations and accurately interpret, record and verify cellular therapy product results.

II. Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience (1 year) in a cell processing laboratory or a general laboratory setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology. Required.
• Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (ASCP or AMT) certification, preferred
• Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with all staff, patients, patient families and vendors.
• Good computer skills.
