Job summary
Actalent is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Emeryville, CA to perform cell processing on blood and marrow samples, including immunomagnetic isolation and cryopreservation. You will follow GLP/SOPs, document results, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting cross-functional teams.
Requirements include an Associate or Bachelor's in biological sciences and 1–2 years of lab experience with flow cytometry and ELISA techniques.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelors in biological sciences with immunology/hematology emphasis.
- 1–2 years' experience in a lab/clinical setting performing tests.
- Experience with immunomagnetic isolation of cells from blood samples.
- Hands-on immunological assays including flow cytometry and functional tests.
- Ability to operate and maintain varied lab equipment with SOPs.
- Strong documentation and GLP regulation knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Perform cell processing and analysis on blood, bone marrow, and cord blood.
- Complete batch records in LIMS and process materials for orders.
- Prepare and review lab reports, flag abnormalities, and initiate actions.
- Monitor inventory and quality control of lab equipment and temp units.
- Maintain equipment and ensure instruments are in proper working order.
- Adhere to quality control procedures and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth workflows and reliable results.
