Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Research Assistant in Cincinnati, OH, to support laboratory-based research in cell and tissue biology. The role focuses on cell culture, tissue culture, cell isolation, and gene/protein expression analysis, with collaboration across scientists to design, optimize, and document experiments in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include handling primary cells, maintaining culture systems, performing cryopreservation, and contributing to data generation and presentation

Qualifications

• Experience in cell culture and tissue culture
• Experience with cell isolation from tissues or organs
• Knowledge of cryopreservation and storage of cells/tissues
• Familiarity with gene and protein expression analysis workflows
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to laboratory safety and SOPs

Responsibilities

• Handle primary cells and established cell lines.
• Perform cell culture and tissue culture with sterility and precision.
• Preserve cells and tissues via cryopreservation or storage methods.
• Conduct gene and protein expression experiments and data generation.
• Collaborate to design, optimize, and validate protocols.
• Document procedures and results in notebooks and systems.
