Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, machine manuals, directions, charts and safety regulations.
• Mechanical aptitude to operate machines and perform basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to follow directions and flexibility to respond to problems and changes in job assignments.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a team member of a cellular operating group; learn, perform preventative maintenance, set-up and rotate to all workstations.
• Handle materials and tools; operate machines; assemble and inspect products of varying shapes, sizes and weights.
• Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance on each machine; complete daily safety check-off lists.
• Maintain station control of operations; inspect parts to ensure quality; identify production and quality problems and assist Team Leader with corrections.
• Work within safety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards.
• Assist in 5S and Lean implementation.
