Job Description
Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing a high level of monitoring for all cell and gene shipments and end-to-end logistical oversight to ensure timely and safe delivery. This includes coordinating shipments, working with global branches, tracking via GPS technology, and proactively managing delays and risks. The role supports lifesaving therapies.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Support daily operations related to cell and gene shipments, coordinating with various branches and monitoring Maestro.
- Develop strong working relationships with internal departments such as Project Management, Operations, Customer Relationship Managers, and Overseas Marken offices/agents.
- Book shipments in Maestro according to client specifications and lane mapping, pre-alert branches and LSPs, and review customer bookings.
- Update Maestro milestones and follow up on pending milestones.
- Review client operating procedures and manage related paperwork and checklists.
- Ensure documentation accuracy and attachment in Maestro as per COPs and SOPs.
- Monitor GPS tracking and daily dashboards for all shipments.
- Monitor weather, civil unrest, strikes, or other delays, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Post-flight and trace investigations to improve service quality.
- Assist with special requirements and coordinate with Customer Service and Project Management teams.
- Produce daily reports on transport issues within the network.
- Monitor LSPs' performance, including dispatch instructions and follow-ups.
- Ensure all PODs are recorded within the specified timeframes.
- Analyze operational issues to develop solutions and lessons learned.
Requirements
- Associates degree, 4-year degree, or relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of logistics, preferably in Pharma/Clinical Trials.
- Experience in courier or air freight industries.
- Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to handle inquiries and issues.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility for shift work.
