Job summary

Teragen Energy is seeking a hands-on Cell Engineerng Co-Op/Intern to join our technical team in Lehi, UT. You will assist with cell fabrication, DOE-driven analysis, and the development of manufacturing SOPs under the guidance of our CTO and scientists.

The role involves working on solid oxide fuel cell technologies, with start date August 31, 2026 and end date December 11, 2026. Ideal candidates are pursuing or have completed a relevant BS/MS and are eager to learn in a fast-paced startup

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed BS or MS in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with ceramic processing, fuel cells, batteries, or electrochemical testing is a plus.
  • Strong lab skills, hands-on attitude, and safe working practices around high-temperature furnaces/reactors and compressed gases.
  • Excellent data analysis, notebook-keeping, and communication skills.
  • Eager to learn and grow in a startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the fabrication of electrochemical cells, including slurry prep, tape casting, sintering, and catalyst infiltration.
  • Analyze performance and durability data and contribute to design-of-experiments (DOE).
  • Help develop and refine manufacturing SOPs and quality control procedures.
  • Support lab setup, equipment maintenance, and process documentation.

This Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, curious, and driven Cell Engineerng Co-Op/Intern to join our technical team. You’ll play a key role in cell fabrication, manufacturing scale-up, and electrochemical testing, working closely with our CTO and scientists to validate and improve next-generation solid oxide technologies.

Start Date: August 31, 2026

End Date: December 11, 2026

What You’ll Do
  • Assist in the fabrication of electrochemical cells, including slurry prep, tape casting, sintering, and catalyst infiltration.

What We’re Looking For
  • Working toward or recently completed B.S. or M.S. in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with ceramic processing, fuel cells, batteries, or electrochemical testing is a plus
  • Strong lab skills, hands-on attitude, and dedication to safe working practices -comfortable working with high-temperature furnaces/reactors and compressed gasses.
  • Excellent data analysis, notebook-keeping, and communication skills
  • Excited by startup energy, and eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
