This role leads cell biology projects, designs and optimizes cell-based assays, and mentors junior scientists in a cross-disciplinary team. You will interface with structural biology and perform analyses translating kinase structure findings into cellular biology outcomes, contributing to discovery and therapeutic insights within a world-class research

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific area is required; PhD preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant work experience if using a Bachelor’s degree; scaled experience for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Research kinase-mediated signaling pathways and cellular outcomes for assigned kinase projects.
• Interface with cell-based assays and structural biology researchers to select appropriate cellular assays and cells.
• Develop strategies for detecting protein phosphorylation, interactions, localization, and RNA abundance.
• Lead and collaborate with a team of scientists on multiple structure-guided cell biology projects and mentor junior staff.
• Troubleshoot cell-based phenotypic assays including viability, apoptosis, autophagy, migration, or differentiation.
• Review relevant literature and experimental data to optimize assays and guide project direction.
