Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced CEI Senior Inspector to support transportation and infrastructure projects in Tallahassee, FL. You will oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and applicable regulations.

You will monitor quality, perform field inspections, coordinate inspectors, and provide on-the-job training while ensuring deadlines and proper documentation. Occasional overnight work may be required; relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required to visit project sites and offices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities to ensure work complies with contract documents, plans, specs, and regulations.
• Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
• Perform field inspections, audit duties, and maintain inspection records.
• Coordinate and manage lower level inspectors and provide on-the-job training.
• Perform highly complex field surveying, construction layout, inspections, and field tests.
• Maintain schedules, track progress, and participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
• Ensure proper execution of contract documents represented by drawings and specifications.

Job description

AECOM is currently seeking an experienced CEI Senior Inspector to support transportation and infrastructure projects located in Tallahassee, Florida. This role will be responsible for overseeing construction activities to ensure work is performed in compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

• Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
• Performs field inspections and/or audit duties and maintains inspection records.
• Ensures all contract documents represented by working drawings and specifications are properly executed
• Performing highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, marking, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests
• Coordinating and managing the lower level inspectors
• Performing work under the general supervision of the Project Administrator
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Responsible for setting own project deadlines
• Provides on the job training to new employees
• Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties
• Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records
• Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning
• Tracks quality assurance progress
• Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma plus 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review

• 4 years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction
