Job summary

WSP in the U.S. seeks a Project Administrator to join their Construction Management team in Orlando, Florida. This role involves receiving assignments, directing staff tasks, and preparing project estimates while ensuring effective communication and project oversight.

Qualifications

  • Eight years of CEI, roadway, or bridge construction experience without an engineering degree.

Responsibilities

  • Receive instructions and exercise judgment to solve work problems.
  • Assign tasks to administrative and field staff.
  • Prepare progress estimates and reviews.
  • Oversee field staff on CEI projects.
  • Assist in materials testing and sampling.
  • Review and approve daily work reports.
  • Assist in generating monthly pay estimates.
  • Coordinate project progress meetings.

Project Administrator – Construction Management, Orlando, FL

WSP is seeking a Project Administrator to join our Construction Management team in Orlando, FL.

Job Duties
  • Receiving general instructions regarding assignments and exercising initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems.
  • Directing and assigning specific tasks to administrative and field staff and assisting in all phases of the construction project.
  • Progress estimates and final estimates throughout the construction project duration.
  • Oversight of field staff on CEI projects.
  • Assist in materials sampling and testing tracking in MAC.
  • Daily work reports review/approval in PRC.
  • Assisting in generating monthly pay estimate.
  • Assisting in shop drawing and plans reviews.
  • Assisting in pursuit of projects.
  • Coordinate and hold project progress meetings.
Minimum Requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbally and in writing).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Requirements for candidates with engineering, engineering technology or construction management degrees
  • Two (2) years of engineering experience in relevant transportation projects.
  • A master's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management may be substituted for one (1) year of engineering experience.
Requirements for candidates without engineering, engineering technology or construction management degrees
  • Eight (8) years of CEI, roadway or bridge construction experience.
  • Two (2) of those years involved in relevant transportation projects.
Certification Requirements

For this position, qualifications/certifications may be obtained within six (6) months from the date of hire provided that this position works under supervision and direction of a Senior Project Engineer, all other requirements for the position are met, and a training plan is submitted detailing when the qualifications/certifications will be obtained.

  • FDOT Advanced MOT
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level II
  • CTQP Quality Control Manager (attend and pass the examination)
