Job summary

DRMP, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced CEI Inspector to lead complex field surveying and construction layout, supervise quality control through inspections and field testing, and mentor junior inspectors on transportation projects.

You'll work across roadway, bridge, segmental and environmental projects, coordinate with field teams and utility owners, review work against specifications, and help assemble final estimate packages while maintaining detailed daily logs.

Qualifications

• DOT roadway/bridge construction experience is required or an engineering/engineering technology degree with EI certification.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving history
• Ability to complete the Critical Structures Construction Issues self-study course
• Full-time commitment (40+ hours/week with possible overtime)
• EI certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Track daily construction progress and contractor activities
• Coordinate with field teams and utility owners to keep projects on schedule
• Prepare field documentation, density logs, and material samples for testing
• Verify dimensions, levels, and alignment of construction work
• Review finished work to ensure it meets specifications
• Support final estimate packages and maintain detailed daily logs
• Work across roadway, bridge, segmental, survey, and environmental projects
