HNTB Corporation in Florida is seeking an Inspector to perform daily inspection of construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and contract provisions on smaller, standard projects. The role includes maintaining logs, coordinating with field personnel, and verifying material use.

Work will occur on-site across Florida locations including Hudson, with responsibilities to perform on-site testing, interpret schedules, and communicate findings effectively to project teams.

Formación

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans. Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.
• Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
• Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This opportunity entails being responsible for providing daily inspection of multiple, routine activities within a given discipline/trade performed by contractor in order to monitor the project’s compliance with plans, specifications, and other contract provisions. Maintains daily logs of inspection work which is assigned and reviews discrepancies or changes with Field Engineer. Work is generally limited to smaller, standard, less complex projects.
