Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Houston is seeking an experienced CEI Inspector to support inspection of roadway and bridge projects, ensuring safety and contractual compliance.

You'll work with Resident Engineers, Construction Managers and project teams on site, performing field inspections, reviewing plans, and documenting quality control. Travel across the Houston area will be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience performing construction inspection on roadway or bridge infrastructure projects.
• CTQP Certification.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, and quality control requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic documentation systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout the Houston area.

In this role, you will work alongside technical experts, Resident Engineers, Construction Managers, and project teams to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract requirements and client expectations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys fieldwork, problem-solving, and contributing to the successful delivery of critical infrastructure projects that serve local communities.

The base salary range for this position is $35.00 to $50.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
