We are hiring a Welder to join our fabrication team, servicing the pipe fabrication needs of our mechanical, industrial, and sprinkler contractor customers. We are looking for a welder capable of consistently processing a high-volume workload while maintaining high-quality results. Successful welders are team-oriented and can quickly adjust to changing priorities.

What You'll Do

  • Set up, operate, and maintain automatic and manual welding machines.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain threading and grooving machines for pipe fabrication.
  • Make-on fittings, TIG welding, and lined pipe fabrication.
  • Read and interpret drawings, material lists, and job orders to determine fabrication specifications.
  • Inspect materials before, during, and after fabrication to verify that results meet specifications.
  • Monitor machines during operation to ensure the accuracy and quality of production.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Operate overhead cranes to move material.
  • Occasionally take a concept to finished product for shop use.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving duties as required.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Familiarity with MIG, TIG and robotic welding techniques preferred
  • Pipe, valve, and fitting product knowledge preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, material lists, and job orders
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic math skills

  • Safe and efficient work style
  • Ability to accept direction and willingly adjust to new job responsibilities
  • Basic computer skills including the ability to retrieve data from a computer terminal
  • Welding certification a plus but not required

Working Conditions

Duties are performed inside a warehouse building with exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Requires standing for long periods of time, frequent walking, stooping, and bending and occasional climbing ladders. Requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds. Requires operation of manual hand carts, overhead crane, electric lifts and forklifts.
