Job summary

Bayshore Residence and Rehabilitation Center in Duluth, MN is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead all dietary services, plan meals, and supervise staff in a skilled nursing setting.

You will ensure nutrition standards, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with nursing to meet residents' dietary needs. The role offers full-time hours, competitive pay, and benefits including health insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required.
• Previous experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of clinical nutrition, menu planning, and regulatory requirements.
• ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the preparation and service of meals in accordance with physician orders, resident preferences, and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure meals meet nutritional standards and are served in a timely and appealing manner.
• Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff, promoting a positive and efficient work environment.
• Manage food and supply inventory, ordering as needed while staying within budget.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including sanitation, food handling, and documentation requirements.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of food service areas to ensure cleanliness and quality.
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to accomodate special dietary needs and preferences.
